Will update my blog on the HK trip soon! In the mean time, arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Day 2

After a comfortable night spent in the super big bedroom and ever so soft bed in Regal Kowloon, we finally woke up at 10 + and set off for our second day with a MAP that is. It was a really long walk to the MTR station and to think that we were actually walking around in circles the day before.

Anyway, we had our brunch at Cafe De Coral which is something like the Fairwood which we had here in Singapore many years ago. So u order at a counter and collect your food at another counter. And they have different meals at different times of the day! tt includes tea time! Well, we had spaghetti cos the rest looks too filling and we don't usually eat alot for breakfast or at least for me. The set is completed with the abit bitter and super thick milk tea! (a must try for those visiting HK) The aunites working there were super nice, unlike the grouchy aunties working here. And they tried to chat with u abit like why we ate so little and couldnt finish such a small meal. Really admire them cos they treat their work so seriously and they are so willing to work hard, unlike some of us who are so taking things for granted.

Me at Cafe De Coral for my breakfast!
Yummy Spaghetti with Milk Tea

We headed for Esprit before Habour City since we didnt get to shop after having the horrendous meal. Ransacked the 2 story high factory outlet and bought about $200 worth of tees, shirts and skirt for ourselves as well as others. Seriously they should consider changing the material of their plastic bags cos they are so painful and cut your hand especially when you bought a lot of things and they are very heavy! My hand was almost disfigured from the carrying of the leavy load we bought. We stopped by DFS along the way and bought my Ray Ban shades like finally! Although i had wanted a white frame but since its kinda cheap so why not right, and i look nice in it! ha. My sis bought a Polo Ralph shirt cos the girl was too nice and she found it hard to reject her. But she likes the shirt too la so not that bad. Unlike in Singapore where only LV or those high end boutiques have people opening the doors for you, HK has it even at DFS and other major shopping malls! Not that i dun have hands to oepn them myself but.....its quite sweet right. U feel special! heh

New LV store in progress outside DFS

So the shopping continued at Harbour City. We continued to splurge like no other peoples' buisness for the following few hours but absolutely have no recollection of what we bought. I remembered walking into silvercord shopping centre and bought my X-large Tee!! wanted the burger one at first since i saw it on MILK & TOUCH but it was out of stock. Thinking that it would be probably out of stock forever, i just bought the Big marshmellow man in ghost buster. it comes in a super big box and i had to carry this super big paper bag all around. Just remembered what my sister bought! she bought a porter bag! the girl was super nice and i must really give credit to the salespeople in HK. once u expressed your dislike for certain things, they do not just walk away. in fact they will try to introduce other things to u. Even if i had no intention of buying something, the service would probably just burn my wallet, simply because they are too sweet to be turned away! Took a break from all the shopping at Fusion, Singapore Bugis has one too if i am not wrong and we chose the cushion seats!! Super comfy!!!

For dinner, we went Tang Dynasty. Do not be deceived by this another shop which sells desserts which is located at the previous Tang location. i almost walked in, luckily i decided to take a look by walking further down. We were not really hungry and since we decided to take maggie mee, we ordered rice noodles with prawns, rice noodles with you tiao and desserts! i had my tofu pudding with almond cream and my sis had walnut paste. The walnut paste is super thick and i think it tasted nicer than mine although i think both were nice. Cos tofu pudding is abit bland and did not really go wel with the almond cream. But the walnut was really goood, just that it was too sweet.

After dinner, we went 7 - eleven and shopped for our cup noodles and the rose green tea which was very nice!! And we didnt ask for forks for the cup noodles since we (my sis i mean) thought that there would be one inside the cup. Luckily we had our hotel tea spoon...

Night scenery in HK is really really nice!

Day 1

We were at the airport pretty early and I was really excited over my trip back to HK after one year!! (how could i have waited for so long, gosh) Then we went through the normal procedure and went for breakfast at MAC! Then we decided to have some tea session at coffee bean before i realised that we had to get into the bloody plane 50 mins before the flight. And there i was, with my caramel latte in one hand and walking fast paced to the gate. And obviously, no drinks would be allowed in the check in and my bloody sister did not want to take my latte home and insisted that i try my luck and carry it in. Just whats wrong with bringing m saliva filled latte home! Oh, and when we were already ina rush, there she was, looking for her phone once again. To note, she has lost thousands of her belongings for millions of times. Luckily, the guy picked up and she got her phone back. u will have to really thank god for that.

My super act cute sis sent us to the airport

Well, so we boarded the plane and the whole journey was just me being dizzy cum tummy ache and nauseous so nothing much to talk about. I didnt even manage to finish my meal which looks pretty appetitizing to me. Now im craving for it. =( Ok, so theres really a difference between a budget airline and SIA! they have free newspaper and hot towel to refresh yourself once you board the plane. Seriously, i shall just stick to big airline from now on, except qantas & british airway. Y? simply cos they are SUPER racist. PERIOD. ok, i managed to catch The Pursuit of Happiness on the plane, a show which i had been wanting to watch but obviously did not have the time to do so. The movie was inspiring man. Great movie, a must for those who did not catch it!!! Im always amazed at how within a few hours, you can step into another country with a total different culture and language. Simply amazing and all it takes is an air ticket. Its like u r so near yet so far. Not sure if u all get what i mean but i get over-excited just thinking about this. Heh finally we reached HK and gosh, u should really congrats them on getting first ranking for their airport. They have the airport express train which brings u to big areas of the country like HK island and Kowloon and after you get off the train, the luggage trolleys are standing in line waiting to be used by u, such that u dun even have to search around for one. (maybe they are just trying to create jobs but stiill..its superb!) Then, thats not all! we get free bus rides to hotels which are registered with them. (of cos those reputable ones la) and the great thing is u dun have to pay a bloddy cent! heh. cool right. Singapore should seriously consider this point so that we can get back to the first ranking and not just thinking about how to make money all the while. Think far singapore! although i still prefer the efficient and ever spotless Singapore airport. Hk airport looks abit dirty and the queue is simply too long .

Sia, here I come!

Ta da, lunch time!

The Super excited Me

Finally, we have reached!

Even more excited!

Picking up luggage

HK Airport

The airport that Twins always appear!

Airport Express Train

Inside the train

Finally we landed ourselves in Regal Kowloon Hotel. Super nice as we got a free upgrade to the deluxe room and i did get my small little sea view. THats not all. My room has a SOFA!!! thats what im excited about and the bed is like marshmellow. So soft that it leaves my body mark after i rest on it. I was lazying around before my ever-think-shes-so-clever sis beckoned me to go out and find food! (like what else can she think of) so ileft my hotel unwillingly and the clever her forgot to bring the map out. So we ended up walking in circles while looking for Harbour city Shopping Centre. Finally we found it!! at 8+, then we had dinner at what i thought was not a bad restaurant since it has a sea view and we were pretty tired. No i didnt get the seaview but thought we would just try. God knows why i stepped into this restaurant. The Chinese Bi*** refused to acknowledge us right from the start and thought that this fillipino who brought us in was quite nice so we sat down. And to my horror, my plain water (dun need to be cooked, dun need to be squeezed, just mere pouring only) came after asking for it for a few times. And adding to my horror which soon turned into disgust, my food was still not served after 40 mins!!! and everytime i asked, they would just coax me with a "its coming, madam, just few more mins" Like real, and when i finally blew my top cos its simply not taking only a few mins, i threatened them with a " if its not coming then im going off" then my food was finally served. Well well, people would think that since it took so long, the food must be damn nice so that it was worth the wait right? I beg your pardon, the steak was over grilled and my sis's fish tasted even more horrible than my mum's normal big, black fish. (she claimed la) And mind u, the whole meal was 432, which is 80+ in SGD for 2 ppl. Our hearts were aching after the meal and we decided to eat maggie mee the next day but i think we ended up eating much more things. Anyway, when we, sorry, I was paying, i deliberately made a comment saying that the beef is over cooked and again, she tried to coax us with ice cream and cheese cake. Like im impressed but why not right! make my money more worth while. Never ever go to that restaurant if u r in HK! its a black shop if is in singapore. then we proceeded back to hotel and had curry fishballs sold by the street hawker auntie who is camera shy i assumed. I prefer the uncle's one which i ate last year. What a first day right. But Im happy thinking over it. *smile*

Our Super Big Room, Comfortable too!

The night scene is superb, everywhere!

Harbour so of cos that was a ship!

Nice scenery at night

Just ignore that pimple, pls!

Voted as the "best" restaurant by me

I think i left my heart in Hong Kong cos I am feeling so dead and grumpy after coming back. I miss the place so damn much that I feel like I am on a tour here instead of feeling that Singapore is my home. And i simply melt under the sorching sun. I miss walking on the streets late at night where there are still lots of people who behave like they do not need to work the next day. I like walking around without having to sweat abit. I miss the food, the variou types of desserts and dim sum that I cant even have enough during my 9 days stay. I like how fluent the cantonese was spoken by the people around me and it actually sounds nice if the person speaks really gently and slowly. I like how close I am to Twins and in fact breathing in the same air as them no matter how loser this may sound. I miss the SHOPPING and how people can just wear sneakers and jeans to work without looking sloppy at all.

I miss u, HK!
